Battle of the Titans: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
Battle of the Titans: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
CalendarPublished on September 19, 2024 by BikeJunction
Motorcycling is the current trend, and the world is full of adventure for riders; the options now available are countless. With numerous options available, the Triumph Speed 400 and the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 stand out in this category. These motorcycles are for enthusiasts who seek performance, style, and comfort rolled into one. We will be taking a closer look at the detailed comparison of these two impressive motorbikes based on key parameters.  Comprehensive Overview of Bikes The Triumph Speed 400 follows the profile of its tagline with superior performance and excellent fuel efficiency. In contrast, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has a classic styling and a torque-rich ride that caters to riders' varied preferences.  Engine Details: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Both the bikes offer nice deals in terms of engine performance. The Triumph Speed 400 sports a 398.15cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine delivers remarkable power to the bike, producing up to 39.8 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. Combining this power output with a well-suspended, light body truly creates a bike that is really fun to ride and has great handling.  Meanwhile, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 mounts a slightly larger 452cc engine that also puts out 40 horsepower at the same 8,000 rpm. While the horsepower numbers may be the same, the Guerrilla 450's extra displacement offers a different torque character that could influence how the bike rides in certain situations. That makes it a good bet for the rider who wants a more traditional, torquey ride experience.  Mileage: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Mileage is always a significant requirement for riders, especially those who travel by motorcycle every day. The Triumph Speed 400 surprised by offering a mileage of 34 km/l. At such an efficiency level, the bike can easily be used for urban travel as well as long journeys without being compelled to stop at each fueling station very often.  However, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450's mileage is 25 km/l. While decent, it's not as good as the Speed 400. Nevertheless, the Guerrilla 450's character and performance-oriented design might just turn the heads of those who wish to enjoy more on roads than just on fuel stations.  Top Speed: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450For speed enthusiasts, pushing a motorcycle to its top speed is an important thrill. Triumph Speed 400 will go over 170 km/h at the top end while providing a relaxed riding experience. Its light frame and powerful engine make for remarkable acceleration and handling.  The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has a fair top speed of around 140 km/h. While this is less than the Speed 400, the Guerrilla 450 makes up for it by carrying strong low-end torque that helps a lot in real-world rideability. For riders who seek a mix of speed and usability, the Guerrilla 450 may well be appreciated.  Suspension and Brakes: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450The motorcycle's suspension and braking setup really make a significant difference for a rider. And if one were to imagine the character of the Triumph Speed 400, surely the advanced front upside-down forks. Moreover, the monoshock at the rear end contribute to making the bike's handling stable on various terrains. In conjunction with dual-channel ABS, this setup really gives a rider some assurance, especially in aggressive riding conditions or at sudden stops.  Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 features telescopic forks at the front and linkage type monoshock absorbers at the rear. It makes a ride in the vehicle very plush as it absorbs all the bumps on the road to the maximum extent possible. The use of modern braking technology in the making of the Guerrilla 450 ensures safety and reliability while on the ride.  Price Comparison: Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450The pricing factor also helps to make the decision about the motorcycles. Both models are competitively priced. Triumph Speed 400 is available at an ex-showroom price of ₹ 2.34 Lakh in India. Moreover, it's a bargain from which the rider gets an uncompromised amount of features and performance. Its heritage will give it immense quality and appeal to the riders through its design and technology, which is pretty great for good investments.  The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is a little costlier than that, available at a price range of ₹ 2.39 - 2.54 Lakh in India. It may be a bit more expensive, but the Guerrilla 450 is what gives it a signature style that is absolutely 'classically' and uniquely its own, hitting the right chord in certain segments of riders.  ConclusionSumming up, the Triumph Speed 400 and Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 have their pros and cons. The former offers immense performance, great fuel efficiency, and high tech. Additionally, it makes it an excellent choice for a wide range of riders. Meanwhile, the Guerrilla 450 offers a traditional riding experience with its torque-heavy engine and comfortable suspension, catering to those who appreciate classic styling. Curious to know about the Revolt Launches RV1 Electric Bike; Upgrades RV400 Model. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb Instagram-  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
