The sporty and adventurous YZF-R3 by Yamaha has undergone drastic aesthetic changes that riders would definitely drool over.
Yamaha has updated their supersport R3 by adding a set of LED indicators. The bulb-type indicators earlier were outdated and didn’t suit this aggressive bike. Riders have anticipated this change in the India-headed R3 as well (given how R15 also has LED lighting).
R3 has a new colour scheme — Purple, Blue and Black. Out of all, so far, black standouts the most and appeals to the riders. Did you know the purple paint scheme of this bike is similar to the YZF-R25 that got earlier this year in Malaysia?
Apart from these cosmetic changes, the bike‘s other specifications will be untouched by the brand. The bike will host the same powerful 321 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin mill with 42PS and 29.5 Nm.
Moreover, you won’t see any changes in its sporty look. Even underpinnings, the inverted fork, disc brakes, and mono-shock are still the same.
The R3 costs 7,29,000 Yen though, (Rs 4.45 lakh) this bike is quite pricey for riders. However, makers say that when the bike hits the Indian market, the prices can drop (probably around Rs. 4 Lakh (ex-showroom). And the bike will give strong competition to KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 400.
