Yamaha has developed 2 very intriguing electric 2-wheeler concepts - E-FV electric micro race bike & the ELOVE self-balancing electric scooter. Interestingly, these 2 concept bikes will be displayed at the Japan Mobility Show, from October 25 to November 5.
Starting your training early is the only way to become a professional racer. However, learning how a clutch & gearbox work can be really challenging for kids. But not to worry about as Yamaha has come up with its E-FV Mini Race Bike. Well, if you’re someone who enjoys the exhaust notes in conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, its speakers emitting that sound will give you the similar thrill.
Unlike the E-FV, the ELOVE concept is more conventional in intent, featuring Yamaha's AMSAS (Advanced Motorcycle Stability Assist System) self-balancing technology. Although the battery and motor specifications aren't available yet, it may possibly have 14-inchers. Interestingly, the bike will be suspended by a telescoping suspension & twin shock absorbers, with disc brakes on both ends.
Even though it is merely a concept now, this concept might someday develop a model, entering series production. For those of you who remember, Liger Mobility displayed its self-balancing X e-scooter prototype at the 2023 Auto Expo. However, nothing fruitful came out of that project since then.
Speaking of safety, Yamaha intends to achieve zero motorcycle-related deaths by 2030. Well, AMSAS (Advanced Motorcycle Stability Assist System) is the company's main strategy for achieving this goal as of now. It had previously provided additional information on this technology, and we could witness it in action when fitted on a Yamaha YZF-R3.
Yamaha will also display the XSR125, MT-125, and YZF-R125 models as well as the 1980 YZR500 (OW70) race bike ridden by Barry Sheene.
