Suzuki Motorcycle India is back with another thrilling surprise for us! The brand has revealed a road-focussed V-Strom 800. After the success of the V-Strom 800DE, Suzuki has taken a bold step by introducing this sleek & road-friendly variant.
The highlight of the new V-Strom 800 is the introduction of cast alloy wheels, transforming its appearance & performance. The front rim, now a 19-inch unit, adds to its agility on the road. The presence of 17-inch alloy wheels at the back brings the convenience of tubeless tyres, enhancing both safety & ease of maintenance.
Suzuki has upgraded the braking system with a pair of four-piston radially mounted Nissin callipers, ensuring precise control & improved stopping power. The suspension system, courtesy of Showa, offers adjustability for preload and rebound, creating a more comfortable & responsive ride.
These modifications have resulted in a lower seat height of 825mm and reduced ground clearance of 185mm, making it accessible to a wider range of riders.
While retaining most of the electronics suite, Suzuki has omitted the Gravel riding mode and removed the option to switch off the rear ABS. The bike is marketed globally as the Suzuki V-Strom 800, although it's referred to as the 800RE on the company’s UK website, where it's priced at 9,699 GBP. Its close rival, the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport, stands at just over 10,000 GBP.
The off-road-focused V-Strom 800DE has already been spotted testing in India, indicating that the road-ready version might not be far behind.
Stay tuned till we get any further launch updates on the Suzuki V-Strom 800, but until then, don’t forget to check out the details of the Triumph's Latest Launch: Scrambler 400 X!
