Italian electric vehicle manufacturer VLF is gearing up to make its debut in India with the launch of the VLF Tennis electric scooter. Scheduled to hit the Indian market soon, VLF Tennis will showcase Italian craftsmanship and the latest in electronics. VLF aims to capture a significant share of the electric scooter market in India, targeting urban commuters with its stylish and efficient offerings.
The company is planning an aggressive expansion strategy, aiming to have 15 outlets by the end of 2024, increasing to 50 by the end of the current financial year to meet Tier 1 and Tier 2 demand in urban areas of the country.

Italian electric two-wheeler brand Velociferro (VLF) is teaming up with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt Ltd for distribution in India, targeting the Indian market. They plan to launch their electric scooter ‘Tennis’ in India during the upcoming festive season. In addition, Velocifero intends to set up a modern manufacturing plant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Recently, KAW Veloce Motors Pvt Ltd launched a premium quad bike in collaboration with Austrian bike manufacturer Brixton Motorcycles.
There are two models: 1.5kW and 4kW. The 1.5kW variant reaches a top speed of 45kmph and offers a claimed range of 60km while riding at 40km per hour; unlike its charge time of around 3 hours, the larger 4kW variant reaches a top speed of 100kmph and offers a claimed range of 100km per hour. It charges in about 5-6 hours.
Technically, both versions feature LED headlights and taillights with integrated signal lights and a 5-inch TFT display. Equipped with a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. Both variants feature front and rear disc brakes fitted with CBS (combined braking system) and ride on 12-inch seamless wheels. In addition, each has two swappable lithium batteries. Electric scooters aim to remain competitive in the market through pricing strategy. Overall, it blends Italian aesthetics with its electric scooter identity and features a simple design language reminiscent of the Ola electric scooter.
VLF mainly focuses on cities in Tier I and Tier II. By the end of 2024, it plans to have 15 outlets operational and expand to 50 outlets by the end of the current financial year.
