Hero MotoCorp recently came out with its upgraded and feature-rich variant of the Super Splendor with Xtec technology. It is now packed with more features than ever before and directly competes with the TVS Raider SmartXonnect. So, we are pitting them against each other to see which offers more!
The Hero Super Splendor Xtec boasts a commuter build and features an LED headlight along with an LED DRL in between. In addition, the bike gets a rather simple appeal with a single-piece seat, a simple fuel tank design and minimal chrome hints.
Contrary to the TVS Raider SmartXonnect, which features a more aggressive and futuristic look whose credits go to its unique headlight. However, it comes with the same LED DRL as the Super Splendor Xtec. In addition, it features a split-seat design and a fuel tank with creasing and chrome elements that are fewer than the Super Splendor Xtec.
Super Splendor Xtec is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine that belts out 10.72bhp and 10.6Nm, which is tuned to a 5-speed gearbox. TVS Raider, on the other hand, is powered by a 124.8cc engine that churns out 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm, which is tuned to a 5-speed gearbox. And looking at the numbers, it won’t be surprising for TVS Raider to be much quicker than the Super Splendor Xtec.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec comes with multiple value-adding features that include
TVS Raider SmartXonnect, on the other hand, also gets multiple features, including
Hero Super Splendor Xtec is equipped with telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable twin rear shocks. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc, a 130mm front drum, and a 130mm rear drum. Rear drum brakes are attached to 18-inch alloys with 80/100 front and a 90/90 rear tyre.
On the contrary, TVS Raider SmartXonnect gets telescopic front forks with 5-step adjustable mono-shock gears. The braking setup is similar to the Super Splendor Xtec. But it gets 17-inch alloys in 80/100 front and 100/90 rear tyres. The smaller-sized alloy would help Raider be a bit more agile than the Super Splendor Xtec.
Hero Super Splendor Xtec (Drum Variant) price in India is set at Rs 83,368, whereas Hero Splendor Xtec (Disc Variant) price in India is set at Rs 87,268 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS Raider SmartXonnect, on the contrary, retails for Rs. 1,00,820 (ex-showroom Delhi). And even though Raider is more expensive, it is important to know that it offers more features and higher power than the Super Splendor Xtec.
