TVS Teases High-Tech Electric Scooter with TFT Screen and Smartwatch Connectivity

TVS has teased the instrument console of the upcoming Creon-based electric scooter ahead of its launch on August 23. TVS Motor Company is gradually revealing information about its upcoming electric scooter, which will be the Creon concept's production version.

The global unveiling is set for August 23, 2023, and the manufacturer, based in Hosur, has released teasers with more features. Based on the Creon concept, the new teaser hints at a TFT screen and smartwatch-based features for the upcoming e-scooter. The scooter will likely have various connectivity features, enhancing its customer appeal.

TFT Display and Customization

The teaser video showcases a full-colour TFT display, replacing the traditional instrument console. This display promises to offer a wealth of information and customisation options for the user interface. Customisation options are popular among customers, as seen with the Ola S1 Pro in the same segment.

Connected Features with Smartwatch

Another teaser indicates connected features, including remote access using a smartwatch. Users can lock/unlock the vehicle and remotely access the boot using a smartwatch. This feature is expected to add convenience and ease of use for riders.

Awaiting Full Details

The specifics about the electric motor, power figures, battery pack, and range are yet to be disclosed. The complete information will be unveiled once the scooter makes its global debut next week. The scooter's design features a sporty silhouette and LED headlamp in line with the Creon concept.

Positioning and Competition

It  is positioned above the iQube in TVS's lineup, and the electric scooter is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.5 to 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom, after subsidies). This competes with models like Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, and Simple One in the segment. The sporty nature of the scooter is likely to attract young buyers, giving it a competitive edge.
