Triumph India has launched the 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 range, including the GT and Rally Pro variants. The GT is priced at Rs 13.95 lakh, while the Rally Pro costs Rs 15.95 lakh in India (ex-showroom).
The GT focuses on-road performance, while the Rally Pro caters to off-roading adventures. These updated models refine the Tiger 900's strengths, offering increased power, enhanced features, and improved comfort.
Let’s know more about the Triumph Tiger range in detail:
The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 has an 888cc inline three-cylinder engine that delivers 106.5bhp @ 9,500rpm and 90Nm of torque @ 6,850rpm. Its engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, offering smooth power delivery. The Rally Pro variant gets a quick-shifter for seamless gear changes, which is not available in the GT model. This new engine features 13% more power and 9% better fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The Tiger 900 GT features 45mm Marzocchi USD forks with 180mm travel at the front and a Marzocchi monoshock with 170mm travel at the rear. Moreover, the Rally Pro variant has 45mm Showa upside-down forks and rear monoshock suspension.
The Rally Pro version of the Triumph Tiger 900 has bigger wheels, including a 21-inch at the front and a rear 17-inch spokes wheel. Meanwhile, the GT model has slightly smaller front 19-inch and rear 17-inch alloy wheels. The Rally Pro uses Bridgestone tyres, and the GT comes with Metzeler tyres. Both types of tyres are chosen to give a good grip on different kinds of roads.
The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 comes with several updates aimed at enhancing performance and comfort. These include tweaks to the bodywork for better cooling, a longer front beak, and improved seat cushions.
You have options when it comes to colors: the Rally Pro comes in Carbon Black, Ash Grey, and Matt Khaki Green. Meanwhile, the GT comes in Graphite, Snowdonia White, and Carnival Red. Both versions feature a larger 7-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB Type C port.
They share ride-by-wire, cornering ABS, traction control, and four riding modes: road, rain, sport, and off-road. The Rally Pro adds an off-road pro mode, disabling ABS and traction control completely.
Furthermore, six ride modes, illuminated switches, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a centre stand, and engine protection guards are unique to the Rally Pro. Meanwhile, the GT offers four riding modes and lacks a standard quick-shifter.
