Triumph's Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X bikes have gained popularity in the sub-middleweight motorcycle segment. However, customers have expressed a desire for more colour options beyond the limited factory choices. To address this demand, Triumph dealership in Pune is offering custom colour options for these bikes.
The company aims to attract a wider range of customers by introducing new colour options. Among the custom colours offered by the BU Bhandari Triumph dealership, a radiant Yellow shade stands out, particularly when paired with golden USD forks. Other custom options include white, silver, and a striking black & red dual-tone scheme.
Customers can choose two distinct graphics options for their Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X motorcycles. One set features the Triumph logo, while the other includes the Triumph logo along with twin contrasting strips.
The custom colours for the bikes are only available for the fuel tank. This is because of some technical limits at the dealership. Still, it gives customers a chance to pick a colour they really like. This customisation option may lead other Triumph dealerships to introduce similar schemes for their customers if successful.
Enthusiasts who opt for any of the custom colour schemes for the Speed 400 or Scrambler 400X will incur an additional charge of Rs 15,000. Initially, the bike will be registered at the RTO in the stock colour received from the factory.
Subsequently, the chosen custom colour will be applied at the dealership, and the dealer will assist with the necessary documentation for the colour change. Moreover, the Triumph Speed 400 is currently priced starting at Rs 2.33 lakh, while the Scrambler 400X starts at Rs 2.63 lakh.

This motorcycle has 43mm upside-down Big Piston forks at the front and a gas monoshock RSU with an external reservoir and preload adjustment at the rear. Moreover, the Triumph Speed 400 comes with 300mm and 230mm fixed discs at the front and rear, respectively. The bike weights 176 kg, and its fuel tank capacity is 13 litres.
Triumph Scrambler 400X is fitted with a 398.15 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 40 PS @ 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The twin-sided swingarm is crafted from cast aluminium alloy that improves durability on rough terrain.
Moreover, the Scrambler 400X features a front brake system with a 320mm fixed disc and a four-piston radial calliper. In the rear, there's a 230mm fixed disc with a single-piston floating calliper.
