Suzuki has displayed the V-Strom 800 DE at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The adventure bike was recently caught testing in India. Let’s have a closer look at the bike & its features!
V-Strom 800 DE will be powered by the 776cc, twin-cylinder engine, producing 83 bhp & 78Nm outputs. In addition, the engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, securely held within a steel frame. The bike will have fully adjustable Showa USD front forks & a rear monoshock. Speaking of the braking system, it will consist of twin front discs & a single rear disc. Moreover, it will be fitted with a 21-inch front & 17-inch rear spoke wheels combo wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres.
Speaking of features, V-Strom 800 DE will come with LED lighting, 5-inch TFT, traction control & ride-by-wire. The bike will also feature low RPM assist, bi-directional quick-shifter, ABS, ride modes & more.
In terms of design, the bike will feature an LED headlight with a transparent visor on top. Below it, there will be an additional fender. The bike will also get a wide handlebar with knuckle guards & a single-piece seat. The V-Strom 800 DE will be equipped with a top box & pannier mounts for better touring capabilities.
The V-Strom 800 DE is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2023. The bike will compete against the Triumph Tiger 900 & the BMW F850 GS. The expected price for the bike would be roughly around Rs. 12 Lakhs.
