Royal Enfield Unveiled Scram 440 – Key Updates

The all-new Royal Enfield Scram 440 was recently unveiled at Motoverse 2024. The larger engine, 443cc, strengthened chassis, new color options, and enhanced features make this a bike to beat. Here's a closer look at the key updates on the Scram 440.

Quick Highlights:

  • 443cc, bigger, more potent engine.
  • New LED headlight and switchable ABS.
  • Trail and Force options.
  • Updated colours palette with five options.
  • Refined clutch action and gearbox

The company has increased the capacity of its existing 411cc engine to 443cc, resulting in a major power gain of 1.1bhp and 2Nm. This power is now produced at a low RPM range. The engine unit is now a single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled unit that produces 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and peak torque of 34Nm at 4,000rpm.

It has been mated with a six-speed gearbox that improves design and top end performance better. The inclusion of the sixth gear enhances the engine’s comfort during long rides.

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 feature list has been enhanced. The bike includes features like an LED headlight, available in both the 650 and 450 variants. It also has switchable dual-channel ABS and an updated front brake for better braking performance. As an accessory, it can be mounted on a top box. The Scram 440 motorcycle also has a pull-type clutch that makes clutch operation lighter and easier.

Royal Enfield Scram 440 comes in two variants: Trail and Force. The Trail version boasts traditional 19/17-inch spoke wheels and tube-type tyres. Moreover, the top-of-the-line Force adds all-alloy wheels and mates them with tubeless tyres.

Royal Enfield Scram 440’s New Colours

The updated Royal Enfield Scram 440 has the same styling as the outgoing model, which is a lost opportunity. It also receives an update on the colours on offer. Moreover, the scrambler is now offered in five different colours: Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue.

However, the RE Scram 440 is expected to hit the showrooms in December 2024. The bookings might start with its launch in December 2024. Additionally, it is expected to be formally launched in January 2025.
