The company’s 650 cc portfolio will include the Super Meteor, updated Interceptor and Continental GT, and the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650.
A set of accessories can be seen on the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 test machine in the latest picture that has surfaced online. This is one of the new motorcycles that Royal Enfield has been testing lately. Spy shots of the same have been appearing consistently.
The bike appears to have a set of accessories on it, as seen in this particular test mule. The accessories include a grille covering the LED headlight, also seen on the Super Meteor 650 and the updated Interceptor and Continental GT 650s.
In addition, a dark fly screen is mounted above the headlight, and a pair of auxiliary lights are placed below the turn indicators. A metal bash plate under the engine can also be noticed, which may be an accessory.
The bike looks quite similar to the previous Scrambler 650 test mules that have been seen before. The bike seems to share the frame with the Interceptor 650, with a USD fork and twin shocks with preload adjustment holding up the frame. The suspension travel looks longer than the Interceptor’s units, and the Scrambler should also have more ground clearance. The bike has wire-spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres on them.
The engine will be the same 648 cc, parallel-twin engine that powers the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The peak power outputs of 47.6 bhp and 52 Nm should also remain unchanged. Still, a slight variation in tune and possible sprocket size adjustment can be anticipated, given the Scrambler usage of the bike.
The Scrambler 650 may be revealed by Royal Enfield in its final form in the next few months.
