Royal Enfield has launched the new Himalayan 450 in India in 4 variants. The Base variant is priced at Rs. 2.69 Lakhs, while the Slate variant is priced at Rs 2.74 Lakhs. The Summit variant is available at Rs 2.79 Lakhs. On the other hand, the top-specs Hanle Black variant is priced at Rs 2.84 Lakhs

 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Specs

In terms of performance, the new Himalayan 450 is powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled engine, producing 40 bhp at 8,000 rpm & 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. In addition, this 450cc engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will come with new WP front forks & an offset mono-shock suspension system. Moreover, this bike is equipped with a front & rear disc with a dual-channel ABS braking system. This Himalayan 450 rides on 21-inch front & 17-inch rear spoked wheels with tubed tyres.

Notably, Royal Enfield is also working on cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. However, this could take some time before its official launch in India.

Speaking of features, the Royal Enfield comes with Ride-by-Wire, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity for navigation & media controls. This new RE bike also features 3 ride modes - Eco, Performance & Switchable ABS.

 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Design

As for its design, hardware & more features, this is the most modern model from the Chennai-based bike manufacturer. In addition, the new Himalayan 450 is similar to its older sibling, with a rugged, tall & purposeful design. It has a round headlight, a wide fuel tank, a windscreen & an upright riding position that highlights its proportions. The new ADV has all LED lighting, including integrated turn signals & a taillight.

 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Colour Options & Rivals

This bike is available in 5 vibrant coloursKaza Brown, Slate Himalayan 450 Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Hanle Black & Kamet White.

The new Himalayan 450 competes against the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS & the Yezdi Adventure in India.
