Classic 650 features a similar style to the Classic 350, likely to launch in 2025.
Royal Classic 650 was recently caught on Camera during the first testing in India. Although the spy pictures are blurry, it is still possible to recognise some design elements and the general shape of the Classic 650. It suggests that Royal Enfield is currently in the process of developing this new model.
Some people may doubt it could be the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, but a few things show it is the new Classic 650. Firstly, the test mule sports conventional telescopic forks with fork covers and a headlamp nacelle similar to the Classic 350. Further, the test mule features wire-spoke wheels, long mudguards and split seats, which are Classic 350 design features.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is equipped with a pair of peashooter exhausts that are slightly raised, adding to the aesthetic appeal of the bike's overall design. The centre-set footpegs and an upright handlebar in the Classic 650 are designed to offer relaxed ergonomics and a comfortable riding posture.
Given that the Classic 650 is built on the Super Meteor 650 chassis, we anticipate it will have the same 648cc, oil-cooled, twin-cylinder Engine. The bike produces power of 47bhp and 52Nm of peak torque, and the Engine is connected to a six-speed gearbox. A slipper clutch will be included as standard.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 will likely be priced between the Interceptor 650 and Super Meteor 650, with a potential cost of around Rs. 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the BSA Goldstar upon its release, which will launch soon. The Royal Enfield Classic 650 launch is anticipated to launch in India at the beginning of 2025.
