Pre-bookings for 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 sports Bike

Triumph India has opened pre-orders for the 2023 sports bike Triumph Street Triple ahead of its March 2023 launch. Potential customers can reserve the new Triumph by paying the INR 50,000 booking fee at their nearest Triumph dealership. The company says deliveries of the 2023 Triumph Street Triple will begin in April 2023.

Triumph Street Triple 765 comes with numerous cosmetic and mechanical changes. The Triumph Street Triple 765 lineup consists of a trio of motorcycles with varying specifications and components, aiming to satisfy customers across the spectrum. A road-focused R model returns, as does the up-spec and aggressive RS trim to the Street Triple lineup. India will only receive the Street Triple R and RS models, and the limited edition Moto 2 is unavailable here.

Starting with the design, Triumph bike made a few changes to make the motorcycle look more sharper and aggressive. The previous models which entered the market with goggle-eyed LED headlights remain the same but it now has a new mosquito net over its distinctive bulging projector headlight to make it more aerodynamically stable. To give the bike a compact look the fuel tank was reduced to 15 litres from 17 on the previous bike; the fuel tank extensions were also repurposed. But the most eye-catching design has to be the updated tail section, which now looks sportier and in the case of the RS bike Triumph, it is slightly more upturned than the R.

Both R and RS variants are available in several colour options. The former is available in two colour options - Silver Ice and Crystal White, while the RS is available in Silver Ice as well as Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow.

Moving on to the engine: a 765cc inline three-cylinder engine given in the bike Triumph Street Triple RS version develops 120 PS, while the same engine in the RS version produces 130 PS. Peak torque has risen to 80 Nm and remains the same across all variants.

This Sports bike Triumph Street Triple has also redesigned the transmission and final drive to improve response and acceleration. The new, freer-flowing exhaust is said to deliver the distinctive triple sound the Street Triple is known for. In addition, the bike Triumph Street Triple all variants have an up-down quick shifter as standard.

In terms of electronics, cornering ABS and traction control systems are now standard across the range and can be tailored to suit rider preference. As for the driving modes, they have also been optimised. The R variant of the racer bike Triumph Street Triple now has four settings - Road, Rain, Sport and Radiator. The RS has an additional Track mode. The company says it has added more dynamic throttle maps in Road, Sport and Track modes for greater responsiveness.

All electronics settings can be accessed via the 5.0-inch TFT display on the bike Triumph Street Triple RS, while the base R makes do with a simpler Trident-style display.

In terms of suspension components, the bike Triumph R has a 41mm Showa USD fork and a mono-shock, while the bike Triumph Street Triple RS has a 41mm Showa USD Big Piston fork and an Ohlins mono-shock. Similarly, when it comes to brakes, Street Triple RS gets Brembo Stylemas, while R is content with lower-spec Brembo M4.32 callipers.
