Since there were no significant launches on Wednesday, the two-wheeler market was quiet on the first day of the Auto Expo. The majority of businesses, including Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, and Ather, opted out of the event.
The Kratos electric motorcycle, which was unveiled by startup Tork Motors, received the most attention. The Kratos' pricing will be revealed soon, and reservations will open in Q2 2023.
Another firm, Matter Group, displayed cutting-edge products and technology. The business claimed it intended to spearhead the entire switch to electric vehicles, mandating a Matter EV bike in every residence. They displayed a 6 kWh version of the Matter bike, which they describe as the country's first geared motorcycle. The business promised that it would soon reveal the bike's price and accept pre-orders.
The startup's objective, according to its founder and group CEO Mohal Lalbhai, is to alter how Indians utilise electric motorcycles.
The world's first auto-balancing electric scooters, Liger X+ & Liger X, were unveiled by Liger Mobility, who may have made the most significant advancement at the show. According to the startup, reservations for these will open in mid-2023, and delivery is anticipated to happen later that year.
“Our patented auto-balancing technology enables these scooters to balance automatically, significantly enhancing rider safety, comfort and convenience as compared to any other scooter available globally,” the startup’s founders said. “These scooters can also reverse like a car, with our patented technology called the ReverseRide.”
Liger Mobility co-founder Ashutosh Upadhyay stated that the company's dedicated engineers had spent years perfecting the auto-balancing technology for two-wheelers. “All aspects of Liger X and Liger X+’s auto-balancing technology, including the hardware and software, have been developed in-house, further underlining India’s ambition, determination and quality of engineering talent,” he said.
