Ola Electric has revealed patent designs for its upcoming electric motorcycles. The company showcased four different concept models last year, including Diamondhead, Adventure, Cruiser, and Roadster. Now, they have leaked images of Ola’s adventure and sports bikes. These bikes mark the company's venture into electric motorcycle production following the unveiling of prototypes last year.
Notably, the designs differ from previously showcased concepts and suggest a fresh direction for Ola in this niche segment. The patent filings indicate the company's commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio, with a potential focus on commuter-friendly options. The company plans to compete against established players like Ultraviolette and Revolt. Also, Ola Electric aims to offer accessible and innovative electric motorcycles for riders.
Ola Electric's adventure bike patent details showcase a practical design tailored for urban commuting. This adventure bike is equipped with standard features like a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Its alloy wheels and narrow tyres emphasise efficiency. The integration of the electric motor and battery aims to optimise weight distribution.
This upcoming Ola electric bike is expected to come with a top speed of 100 kmph. Visually, it has a futuristic appeal with flat panels and sharp lines, offering a comfortable riding posture. It will compete with models like Tork Kratos R and Revolt RV400. Additionally, Ola has patented designs for upcoming three-wheelers, including passenger and goods carrier variants.
The new patent details for Ola's electric sports bike reveal several distinctive features. Unlike the current Roadster model, it features clip-on handles and telescopic front forks instead of USD ones. The front brake disc is positioned on the left side, and there's an additional belly piece enhancing the design.
Furthermore, with a conventional tail and rear-set footpegs, the bike's stance suggests a sportier appeal. While battery and motor specifications remain undisclosed, features like TFT display, LED lights, and ride modes are expected. Ola has already initiated pre-bookings for its upcoming electric motorcycles.
