Ola Electric Scooter Gets a New “Gerua” Colour Option

The more affordable S1 e-scooter now comes in the ‘Gerua’ (orange) colour option, along with almost all the other colours available on the Ola S1 Pro. However, no announcement has been made regarding any mechanical changes that might be made or prices revised.

With the exception of the Khaki green Freedom edition colour that was introduced to honour the Indian military services, the Ola S1 e-scooter is available in almost all of the S1 Pro’s colours. The S1 e-scooter is now available in Millennial Pink, Anthracite Grey, Marshmallow (yellow), Midnight Blue, and Matt Black, thanks to this expansion of the colour range.

Ola’s S1 E-scooter’s mechanical components stay the same, and its 3kWh battery gives it a stated IDC range of 141km in Eco mode. When plugged into a standard 5A outlet, a full charge will take 5 hours. With an electronically limited top speed of 95 kmph, the motor produces the same 5.5kW (nominal) and 8.5kW (peak) figures as the range-extended S1 Pro. Cruise control and Hyper mode, which are featured on the S1 Pro, are absent on the S1. The S1 is 4 kg lighter as compared to the S1 Pro at 121 kg.

Currently available for Rs 99,999, the Ola S1 is Rs 40,000 less expensive than the flagship S1 Pro, which is still being given with a Rs 10,000 discount. In Q1 2023, Ola also intends to release a significantly redesigned, inexpensive S1 Air on the market for Rs 84,999.
