New Launch Alert: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R! India’s First Middleweight 4Cylinder Supersports Bike

Kawasaki has been hard at work, launching and unveiling a series of power-packed bikes this month. The brand has now added another model to its already wide range of portfolio- Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R for Rs 8.5 lakhs. This new supersports bike will take the crown of being India’s first middleweight bike that will be powered by a 4-cylinder engine

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is the most expensive 400cc and Kawasaki’s 3rd 400cc bike in India. Now, let’s take a deeper look at everything this supersports has to offer.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Engine Specifications

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4-cylinder engine, capable of producing 75 hp & 39 Nm of peak torque. And while the torque is higher than the KTM Duke 390, the 75 hp peak power output is achieved at 14,500 rpm. This translates directly into the fact that the Kawasaki performs like a beast on open roads but lacks peak performance at lower speeds.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Equipments

Kawasaki India has fitted the most premium range of equipment on this supersports bike. Some of them include -

  • Trellis Frame
  • Showa USD front Forks, Rear Monoshock with Pre-Load Adjustability
  • Nissin Disc Brakes (290 mm front, 220 mm rear) and Dual-Channel ABS
  • Kawasaki Traction Control
  • Kawasaki Quick Shifter
  • Standard Kawasaki 4.3-inch Full-Colour TFT Display
  • Bluetooth Connectivity
  • 4 Riding Modes - Sport, Rain, Road & Customisable Rider Mode
  • 17-inch Wheels Wrapped in 120/70 Front & 160/60 Rear Tyres

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Looks

The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R sports a sharp & thoroughbred supersport styling. Moreover, the split LED headlights contribute to its sharp front look. This whole setup is further topped with a transparent visor & a large fairing on the bike’s side profile. Lastly, the bike comes with a split-seat setup, adding comfort for both the rider and its pillion.
