Auto Expo 2023: Motovolt to Debut India's First Smart E-Scooter

Auto-Expo 2023 - Motovolt, India’s leading E-mobility brand, has recently announced that it is setting its foot in the e-scooter category in India. Founded in 2019, Motovolt set forth its journey as a mass-market micro-mobility EV company.

Motovolt, a homegrown electric two-wheeler company, made its entry into the Indian high-speed (60 kmph) arena on Thursday, January 5th, with the debut of a multi-purpose e-scooter at the Auto Expo-2023.

Auto Expo 2023: Motovolt, India’s leading EV 2-wheeler brand, is slated to debut its new smart multi-purpose Electric scooter at this year’s Auto-Expo. The market for electric scooters in India is fast expanding, and experts say there is a great demand that must be met. The company is already regarded as a pioneer in developing innovative, high-quality personal mobility solutions for a wide range of e-bikes.

The model, which is set to debut at the Auto-Expo this year, is packed with features and is also linked to the Motovolt app. The e-one-of-a-kind scooter’s design will also allow for customisation based on the rider’s preferences.

In a statement, Tushar Choudhary, Founder & CEO of Motovolt, said, “We wanted to enter the market with a fully indigenous and smart e-scooter that delivers an unmatched rider experience. This first-of-its-kind e-scooter is designed and engineered to be a multi-utility solution for both personal and fleet use.”

The business disclosed that its in-house designed e-scooter would include a modularity feature that will allow riders to customise the e-scooter to their specific demands.

Motovolt also says that their future e-scooter would be a multi-utility solution for both fleet and personal use, with numerous smart features and smartphone app connectivity.

The forthcoming Auto Expo is projected to be a significant event in the Indian automobile sector, with many additional vehicle manufacturers, including 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and car manufacturers, revealing new models and designs.

Tushar Choudhary created Motovolt in 2019 as a mass-market micro-mobility EV firm. It now operates in the segment of electric motorcycles and two-wheelers that travel at less than 25 kmph and consume less than 250W rated power.

In the previous nine months, the company has seen an 18x increase in revenues and a capital influx of roughly Rs 25 crore. Its manufacturing facility is in Kolkata, and hopes to increase yearly sales from 4,000 to 60,000 units in the next year.
