The Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R 650 was unveiled at the EICMA 2022 last year. At the Bassella Race in Spain, the bike manufacturer has now put it to the test in the real world. Here is a close-up view of it.
The ADV-R appears to be an even more off-road-focused motorcycle when compared to the basic variant. The normal X-Cape is its ancestor, but this version comes with a redesigned windscreen, handlebar guards, fog lights, crash protectors, and an aluminium bash plate. Even the front disc brake covers and an auxiliary navigation console are included.
The engine that powers the base model is also used in the ADV-R. It is a 649cc parallel-twin engine with a six-speed gearbox that produces 60 BHP and 54 NM of torque. The ADV-R receives a new SC-Project exhaust, which can result in a slight increase in power. Additionally, Moto Morini added dual-purpose Metzeler Karoo 3 rubber to the golden-coloured spoked wheels and an Ohlins remote-adjustable rear suspension to the motorcycle. ABS and other features are not changed.
We anticipate the brand to make an official statement for potential customers as the bike has already been used in a race. That, however, can take some time.
