The 390 Adventure X, a new model of KTM India's adventure tourer motorbike with less features than the 390 Adventure, has seen its release recently. Due to this, KTM India managed to price the motorbike more affordably on the Indian market. When compared to the normal 390 Adventure, the 390 Adventure X lacks a quick-shifter, adjustable front forks, and a bi-directional quick-shifter. A 373cc engine, a trellis frame, and a TFT display are only a few of the key features that the 390 Adventure X still kept.
KTM 390 Adventure X offers two colour options, Galactic Blue and Dark Galvano Black, for the Indian market. The paint themes and graphics on the motorcycle's X variation differ considerably from those on the standard version. The Galvano Black option has an additional stealthy appearance, and the Galactic Blue paint includes vibrant colours.
The chassis, sub-frame, and alloy wheels on both colour variants have a blacked-out appearance, which enhances the bike's overall appearance. The KTM 390 Adventure X seems to provide adventure riders in the Indian market with a stylish and cost-effective alternative.
The design of the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X is comparable to that of the motorcycle's basic model. The split-style headlight with two LED DRLs, a unique characteristic of the 390 Adventure series, is still present in the X model. The motorbike possesses other adventure tourer-specific features including split seats, a side-slung exhaust, a 14.5-litre fuel tank, and a small windscreen. Additionally, the 390 Adventure X has alloy wheels with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel fitted with tubeless tyres to provide good traction and stability on various surfaces.
Overall, the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure X appears to provide adventure riders searching for an economical, fashionable motorbike with strong performance capabilities and a well-rounded product.
Some crucial features of the KTM 390 Adventure model were taken from the 390 Adventure X, including full-LED lighting, switchable ABS, a slipper clutch, and a 12V USB charger. The premium version's advanced features, such traction control, riding modes, cornering ABS, and a quick-shifter, are not included in the X model.
In addition, the LCD screen on the 390 Adventure X is inferior to the TFT display on the standard model because it lacks Bluetooth. The 390 Adventure X always appears to provide excellent value for adventure riders that favour cost above cutting-edge capabilities.
The KTM 390 Adventure X has been priced competitively in the Indian market, with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.80 lakhs (in Delhi). However, it is an introductory price tag, and KTM India may revise the price in the future. Nevertheless, the 390 Adventure X offers good value for money, especially for adventure riders looking for an affordable option with decent performance capabilities.
