Kawasaki India just dropped the bomb on the Indian 2-wheeler industry with the launch of the ZX-4R. This model is the brand’s most affordable in-line 4-cylinder bike in India. Kawasaki also offers the Ninja ZX-25R, a pint-sized powerhouse with an in-line four engine. Now, back to the ZX-4R; it's all set to carve its own space in the lineup, nestling snugly between the Ninja 650 and the Ninja 400. Here's the lowdown of all the 5 red-hot revelations offered by Kawasaki ZX-4R!
This new beast is powered by a powerful 399 cc liquid-cooled inline-4 cylinder engine. This engine is capable of producing maximum power output of 75 bhp @ 14,500 rpm and 39 Nm peak power output @ 13,000 rpm.
The engine is further tuned to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch & quick shifter. The powertrain also features a RAM air intake that has increased the power output to 78 bhp.
The new Kawasaki ZX-4R is built upon a trellis frame which is suspended by 37 mm upside-down front forks & a monoshock in the rear with preload adjustability.
As for the braking system, it includes 4-piston dual-piston calipers & 290 mm disc brakes in the front. At the rear, however, it features a 220 mm disc with a single-piston calliper for optimal braking performance.
When it comes to features, the ZX-4R packs a punch! It offers four distinct riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and a customisable Rider mode. You can effortlessly switch between these modes using the intuitive 4.3-inch TFT screen, which also boasts Bluetooth connectivity. Stay in the loop with turn-by-turn navigation and real-time notification updates right on your dash.
Plus, the bike sports top-notch all-LED lighting and even throws in a dedicated Track mode for the instrument cluster. It's all about staying connected and in control with the Kawasaki ZX-4R!
When it comes to design, the Kawasaki ZX-4R doesn't shy away from its Ninja lineage. It sports the iconic LED headlamp upfront with a distinctive split design. The full fairing not only adds to the bike's aesthetics but also shields the rider from windblast, ensuring a smoother ride.
The muscular fuel tank adds a touch of power and aggression to its appearance. Plus, you can't miss the single-sided exhaust and the sharp, edgy rear section, giving it that unmistakably sporty look. It's truly a design that means business!
Kawasaki has set an enticing price tag for the ZX-4R, starting at just Rs 8.49 lakh ex-showroom. And here's the kicker – the base variant of this beauty is already up for grabs! Get ready to hit the road in style.
