-It is the only twin-cylinder ADV under Rs 5 lakh
The Kawasaki Versys X-300 is expected to be released in the Indian market in some weeks, possibly during the festive season in October. The timing is strategically positive for the Japanese producer because it aims to draw clients for the launched Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 390 Adventure.
Alternatively, Kawasaki could localise as many parts as possible and price the new Versys X-300 competitively. This approach is expected to help reduce costs. Moreover, the Kawasaki is expected to use a similar approach to the Ninja 300, focusing on increasing local parts availability to maintain affordability.
The Versys X-300 is powered by a 296cc parallel-twin engine, which is known for its efficiency and performance. It handles revs well, contributing to a sportier ride. The engine produces 39bhp and 26.1Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is expected to be priced between Rs 3.6 lakh and Rs 3.9 lakh, with all figures representing ex-showroom prices.
