Kawasaki Unveils Eliminator 400: A Modern Cruiser With Ninja DNA

The Kawasaki Eliminator 400 is exclusively available in Japan at the moment.

After almost 20 years of being inactive, Kawasaki returned with the Eliminator name. Kawasaki came out with a new twin-cylinder cruiser for the Japanese market. Here are the top 5 facts about this fresh offering from Team Green.

Engine Specification of Kawasaki Eliminator 400

The Eliminator shares the same parallel-twin cruiser engine as another Kawasaki bike, the Vulcan S. It uses a reliable liquid-cooled, 399 cc, parallel-twin engine that delivers 48 bhp and 37 Nm of torque

This matches the performance of the Ninja 400 in Japan. But, the Ninja 400 has been reduced to 45 bhp in places where it meets Euro 5/BS6 standards.

The Eliminator 400 shares a trellis frame design with the Ninja model but is not similar otherwise. It has a basic suspension system with a front fork, two rear shocks, and disc brakes with ABS on both wheels. The bike weighs 176 kg when the 12-litre tank is full. This new bike has a low seat height of 735 mm which makes it easy to handle for most riders.

Check Out Its Design

The Eliminator 400 has a classic cruiser look with its low-slung profile, round headlight and a single seat. But it doesn’t have the chrome-heavy style of an American cruiser, and most of the parts and panels are black. The SE version has extra features like standard fork covers and a small windscreen.

Check Out Its Value Adding Features

The Eliminator 400 is a modern bike with a 40-year-old name. This bike has features like LED lights, a slipper clutch, and a digital dash that connects to Bluetooth

The standout feature is that the SE version has cameras on the front and rear that work as dash-cams. Furthermore, these cameras can provide evidence for the rider in case of an accident.

Check out the Price & Variants.

The Eliminator 400 has a price tag of 7,59,000 yen (about Rs 4.71 lakh) for the standard version and 8,58,000 yen (about Rs 5.33 lakh) for the SE version with extra features

The Ninja 400 has the same price as the standard Eliminator 400 in other countries. However, the bike is only available in Japan for now, and there’s no word on whether it will be launched in other markets soon.
