In the commuter class, the Honda Unicorn saw astronomical success in India and other Asian nations. Currently, Honda is making the Unicorn available in Nigeria as well. The bike was just introduced by the company and is distinct from the model offered here.
The fascia of the Honda Unicorn that was introduced in Nigeria is slightly different. However, it resembles the unit from SP125. In addition, the bike features a single-piece seat with a grab bar, bulb indicators, and a very functional design.
The same 162.77cc single-cylinder engine with 12.7bhp and 14Nm of torque powers it. The engine is housed in a diamond-shaped chassis and is coupled to a five-speed transmission. A mono-shock and standard USD front forks support the latter. The braking system, meanwhile, consists of a single front disc brake and rear drum brake. The bike has alloy wheels with tubeless tyres on them. All of the instruments on the Unicorn's three-pod instrument cluster are analogue. In addition, ABS is included for safety.
In Nigeria, Honda has set the Unicorn's pricing at NGN 14,00,000. (approximately Rs 2.50 lakh sans taxes). At Rs. 1.05 lakh, that is more than twice what the Honda Unicorn costs in India (ex-showroom Delhi).
