Honda has released the first teaser of its upcoming motorcycle, which will get unveiled on 2nd August 2023. The teaser does not reveal much about the upcoming launch. However, the sources confirmed that the new bike will compete in the 150cc-180cc motorcycle segment in the market.
The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will utilise one of their existing engines in the 162.7cc or 184.4cc displacement segment for their upcoming product. The former engine currently powers the Honda Unicorn 160, while the latter is utilised in the CB Hornet 2.0.
The upcoming products of Honda will probably have similar output figures to the current ones. We know that the Honda Unicorn 160 features a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cool engine. It can generate 12.73bhp and 14Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Hornet 2.0 is equipped with a 184.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. It produces a maximum power of 17.03bhp and a peak torque of 16.1Nm.
The Indian division of the Japanese manufacturer will witness only the reveal of the new motorcycle. However, the release is expected to occur in the upcoming weeks, potentially before the highly sought-after festive season. We anticipate that the starting prices will fall within Rs. 1.05-1.15 lakh (Ex-showroom).
