Hero discontinues its Xtreme 200S 2V from its portfolio after its new release. The recently launched 4V Model Hero Xtreme 200S 4V will replace it. Its discontinued model 200S 2V was priced at Rs. 1,35,360 (Ex-Showroom). However, the 4-valve model is available at a price of Rs. 1,41,250, which is higher than Rs. 5,890 from its 2V model.
The introduction of the Hero Xtreme 200S 4V came after a significant upgrade over the existing 2V model. The 2V model did not perform well in terms of sales. So, the company decided to discontinue it from the lineup after the launch of the Xtreme 200S 4V.
The key improvement in the Xtreme 200S 4V is including a 4-valve engine. Specifically, the 4-valve engine increases 1.17PS power and 1.20Nm torque compared to the 2V model. The upgrade will provide more refinement and better fuel efficiency.
Hero's release of Xtreme 160R 4V marks an expansion of their 160cc lineup with the adoption of 4-valve technology. The move offers Hero enhanced performance and efficiency in the 160cc segment. As the Xtreme 160R 4V is now part of the lineup, it could face a similar fate as the Xtreme 200S 2V. Additionally, the 4-valve version's advanced technology makes it a preferred choice among customers.
