Honda has patented the design of its high-capacity 160cc scooter in India. It is known as the Honda Stylo in Indonesia. This scooter is a significant upgrade compared to Honda's other scooters in India. Honda is already the best-selling scooter brand in India due to the popular Activa 110cc.
The patenting of the Stylo 160 design hints at Honda's plans to introduce more premium scooters in India. This move follows Honda's recent patents for four other big bikes. If launched, the Stylo 160 will compete with scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the upcoming Hero Xoom 160.
The Honda Stylo 160cc scooter is a premium and stylish scooter. It is designed to offer more than the popular Honda Activa and is longer and wider. The Stylo 160 will be available in six different colors, including Royal Green, Royal Matte White, Royal Matte Black, Glam Red, Glam Black and Glam Beige.
Features of this upcoming Honda 160cc scooter include full LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, keyless start system and USB charging port. The scooter features hexagonal LED lighting, round ORVMs and C-shaped front apron-mounted turn indicators.
The body is curvy and sleek, with a large one-piece seat and solid grab rails. This scooter is practical with a flat floorboard and storage under the seat. It is currently on sale in Indonesia and should be available in India soon.
The upcoming Honda Stylo 160 is powered by a 156.9cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces around 15.4 bhp @ 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm. The scooter is equipped with a CVT system. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with brass telescopes at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Depending on the colour, it offers black or silver front suspension and black or bronze alloy wheels.
The Stylo 160 offers two braking options: the higher-spec version with single-disc brakes at both ends and single-channel ABS, and the more economical version of the CBS Scooter's weight is 118 kilograms and a fuel range of 45 kmpl.
