Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HSMI) is all geared up to launch its highly awaited 100cc bike today. It is likely to be named under its Shine series as Shine 100. This 100cc commuter is going to the company’s most affordable yet highly competitive to its direct rival - Hero Splendor Plus.
Honda has been teasing us for far too long with this bike, releasing multiple teasers and giving us tiny peaks into the design. The brand has been especially emphasising affordability, suggesting the bike could be the lowest-priced Honda product in India yet.
For now, CD 100 Dream, priced at Rs 70,315, is the most affordable Honda bike yet. Meanwhile, the competitor Hero Splendor Plus’s price is Rs 72,076. However, the most affordable bike in the 100cc segment is the Hero HF 100, priced at Rs 56,968. Another rival of this new 100cc commuter bike is the Bajaj Platina 100 in India.
