Hero Xude's latest design patent has just been leaked, giving scooter enthusiasts a thrilling sneak peek into what's coming next. This revelation may give a fresh wave of innovation & style in the realm of 2-wheelers.
Hero has been launching multiple models, starting with the letter “X”. It’s a highly strategic move made by the brand. A few of the models starting with the letter include - XTEC, Xpulse, the recently launched Karizma XMR & Harley-Davidson X440.
With Xoom being a popular choice in the 110 cc scooter segment, Hero may introduce a new 125 cc scooter similar to Xoom. The scooter will likely be named Xude and will be launched by the end of this year or early 2024.
The shape of the headlamps, front apron, aerodynamic & sporty design & side panels make it evident that Xude may have a design language similar to Xoom. However, there are some unique elements featured in Xude to give the model its own individual styling. A wide & thicker seat, split grab rails & larger rear wheel are among the unique design elements. Moreover, the front suspension setup also appears different from Xoom’s.
The Xude is easy to use, just like an everyday scooter, despite having a sporty look. The scooter will likely have storage at the front & under the seat. The floorboard area is also flat, similar to Xoom. The Xude is versatile when it comes to carrying various items while standing out with a fresh range of colours. Its smaller sibling, the Xoom, also offers exciting shades.
Xude might share the majority of features with its smaller sibling, Xoom. Projector LED headlamp, H-position lamp, corner bending lights & signature H-shaped LED tail lamp will be among the key features. In addition, the bike is likely to feature some tech integrations, including Bluetooth connectivity, real-time mileage indicator, low fuel indicator, SMS alert & caller ID.
The Hero’s XTEC system, a new digital display & more options in the smartphone connectivity package are among the additional features, making Xude different from the smaller Xoom.
Hero MotoCorp's 125 cc lineup currently consists of Destini & Maestro Edge. The upcoming Xude will be powered by the same 125 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine, producing 9 bhp & 10.4 Nm outputs. Moreover, other hardware, including the suspension & braking system, could also be borrowed from Hero’s 125 cc scooters.
TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Burgman, Yamaha RayZR 125 & Honda Grazia are among the top rivals of Xude. The Xude will emerge as an attractive option in the 125cc scooter segment if it is available at an affordable price. However, only time will tell if this can match the success of its smaller sibling, Xoom.
