CFMoto Reveals 2 Multi-Cylinder Sportbikes | Here’s What We Know

The 2023 CFMoto Day festival was abuzz with the electrifying preview of two upcoming multi-cylinder sportbikes from the Chinese bikemaker. The adrenaline-charged 500SR, cloaked in blue, boasts an inline 4-cylinder engine, while its red-clad counterpart, the 675SR, packs the punch of an inline-triple motor.

Both these camouflage-wrapped beasts roared around the Zhuzhou International Circuit last weekend. While the official unveiling is yet to come, CFMoto has tantalized us with a few juicy details about these two-wheeled wonders.

CFMoto 500SR

The CFMoto 500SR is rumoured to have a ram air system and the ability to cross the 230kph speed barrier. Its heart, the engine, is said to feature forged aluminium pistons and a low-inertia crankshaft, hinting at a machine built for performance.

CFMoto 675SR

The CFMoto 675SR, on the other hand, is claimed to deliver a 100Nm-per-liter torque output, translating to an estimated 67Nm of raw power. This puts it in the same league as the MV Agusta F3 675 (71Nm) and Triumph Daytona 675 (73Nm). CFMoto also hints at a power output hovering around the 100hp mark

Patent applications reveal that this engine is essentially the 449.5cc parallel-twin from the 450 SR, but with an additional cylinder to boost capacity to 675cc. If it shares the same 72mm bore and 55.2mm stroke as the 450, the capacity here will be 674.2cc.

Despite the camouflage, both models' sharp, angular fairings are evident, featuring multiple layers and crisp cuts and creases. Both bikes appear to sport twin headlights, twin front brake discs, upside-down forks, and mono shocks.

While CFMoto remains quite about any further details, they assure us that these new models will grace different markets worldwide. EICMA in November could be the stage for the grand unveiling of these much-anticipated bikes.

Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting additions to the CFMoto family! Till then, don’t forget to check out the recently revealed Moto Morini Calibro 650cc Cruiser bike.
