Brixton Motorcycles has announced the launch of 4 new models in India, but they haven't revealed which ones yet. Brixton designs these bikes and will be made in a new, modern factory owned by KAW Veloce in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The company and KAW Veloce also want to create a research centre in India.
Brixton is a British company named Austrian that manufactures motorcycles in China. It is owned by KSR Group, which also owns other motorcycle brands. Brixton mainly manufactures 125cc and 250cc bikes and sells them in Europe and Asia.
Now, they want to sell their bikes in India, too. To do this, they've joined up with KAW Veloce Motors. KAW Veloce Motors already sells other brands like Benelli and Keeway in certain areas of India. Brixton aims to offer bikes specifically designed for Indian customers and might even start making bikes in India.
The Managing Director at KVMPL, Tushar Shelke, said, "We are thrilled to bring this esteemed brand to the Indian motorcycling community. With the launch confirmed, stay tuned for more exciting news soon! As Brixton Motorcycles gears up for a dynamic future in India, it promises not only to meet but exceed expectations, setting new benchmarks in the motorcycle industry with a commitment to excellence and innovation."
Brixton sells 14 models of retro-style bikes in the world. Some of these bikes have engines much like the ones found in Triumph or Honda bikes. Brixton's bikes come in various engine sizes, ranging from 125cc to 1200cc.
The largest motorcycle of their lineup is the Cromwell 1200, which has a 1,222cc dual-cylinder engine. It produces 83 horsepower at 6,550 rpm and 108 Nm of torque at three,100 rpm. In China, this motorbike is referred to as the GK1200. Brixton also sells a 500cc motorbike.
