In the year 2022, BMW Motorrad India sold 7,282 two-wheelers. The company's revenues have increased by 40.3% over the last year, which is their best-ever performance.
The 2022 calendar year's sales numbers have been made public by BMW Motorrad India. In India, the company was able to sell 7,282 two-wheelers in 2017, showing a YoY gain of over 40%. Since making its official market debut in 2017, these sales figures represent BMW Motorrad India's best-ever performance.
90% of the company's total motorcycle sales were made up of the brand-new BMW G 310 RR, BMW G 310 R, and BMW G 310 GS. Other well-known models include the BMW S 1000 RR, the BMW R 1250 GS / GSA, and the scooter BMW C 400 GT. At Rs 10.40 lakh, ex-showroom, the BMW C 400 GT, which was introduced in India in October 2021, is now the most expensive gearless scooter in the country.
According to a recent announcement from BMW Motorrad India, the upgraded S 1000 RR will soon be available in India. The pricing of the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR in India starts at Rs 20.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The same is now available for reservations, and deliveries will start next month. A 999cc, 4-cylinder engine with 207bhp and a 6-speed transmission powers the S 1000 RR.
The Bavarian two-wheeler manufacturer has not yet disclosed its product launch plans for 2023 except for BMW Motorrad India 2022 sales. However, it just debuted its first electric scooter, the CE 04, at the Joytown Delhi edition. The BMW CE 04 electric scooter gets an 8.9 kWh battery pack and is claimed to offer a riding range of 129 km per charge. It could cost around Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom when it is released.
