Yesterday, Bajaj Auto launched its most powerful and expensive Pulsar model, the NS400Z. It gives great competition to the TVS Apache RTR 310. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is priced at Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), while the TVS Apache RTR 310 is priced at Rs. 2.42 lakh (ex-showroom). These bikes provide sustainable choice in the 300-400cc segment.

Both bikes' muscular naked bike styling gives them a youthful and appealing look. They feature LED headlights, stylish graphics, and attractive dual-tone paint schemes. 


The NS400Z bike is available in four colour options, including Ebony Black, Glossy Racing Red, Metallic Pearl White, and Pewter Grey. On the Contrary, the Apache RTR 310 comes in Arsenal Black, Fury Yellow, and Sepang Blue. 


Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has robust aesthetics, and the Apache RTR 310 features sporty flair. The NS400Z leans towards a slightly aggressive stance with clean lines and bold features. On the other hand, the Apache RTR 310 showcases sporty contours and a more aerodynamic profile.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and TVS Apache RTR 310 are packed with advanced features for different preferences. The NS400Z features LED lighting, switchable traction control, and four ride modes, including Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road. It also includes an LCD unit with Bluetooth connectivity for calls, SMS notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation.


On the contrary, its rival TVS Apache RTR 310 offers all-LED lights, a TFT display with smartphone and GoPro connectivity, SMS/call notifications, ABS, and multiple ride modes. It also has a climate-controlled seat, a six-axis IMU for cornering ABS and traction control, and even cornering cruise control. Additionally, the RTR 310 features a tyre pressure monitoring system and a bi-directional quick-shifter.


In terms of features, the TVS Apache RTR 310 impresses more with advanced connectivity, safety features, and comfort enhancements.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is equipped with a 373cc engine that produces 39.4bhp @ 8,800rpm and 35Nm @ 6,500rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. This TVS motorcycle offers a powerful and smooth riding experience.


On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 310 features a slightly smaller 312.2cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 35bhp @ 9700rpm and 28.7Nm @ 6650rpm. Its engine is also paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and TVS Apache RTR 310 share similar components. Both bikes feature golden-coloured USD front forks and a monoshock rear suspension setup. The Pulsar NS400Z features a front 320mm and rear 230mm disc brake. Meanwhile, the Apache RTR 310 has a 300mm disc on the front and a 240mm disc brake on the rear end. 


Moreover, they are equipped with 17-inch wheels, ensuring effective stopping power. There are differences in the tyre choices. The Pulsar NS400Z comes fitted with MRF tyres, whereas the TVS Apache RTR 310 is equipped with Michelin Road 5 tyres.
