On Thursday, Sun Mobility, a provider of energy infrastructure and services for electric mobility, declared its intention to support 10 lakh vehicles on its platform by 2025. At the Auto Expo 2023 in this city, the business introduced its SwapX tiny battery exchanging station in an effort to make it possible for people to open franchises and hasten network expansion.

Additionally, Sun Mobility demonstrated their S2.1 next-generation battery pack, which has a greater power battery and offers 45% more connectivity and range. “Our aim is to have one million vehicles on our platform,” SUN Mobility co-founder and chairman Chetan Maini said.

The business has established more than 240 stations in more than 18 Indian cities, providing tiny four-wheelers and two- and three-wheelers with battery-changing services. According to Maini, SUN Mobility created the SwapX and S2.1 smart batteries locally and in-house.

“It helps us improve network density with S2.1 addressing range anxiety. Soon, users will have access to the new generation of battery packs and SwapX stations across India, he added. For franchisees, the SwapX station can be easily set up as it only requires a 15-amp socket and up to 6 square feet of space, the company officials said.
