At the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida on Thursday, the electric scooter firm Motovolt revealed its M7 multipurpose model. The scooter can be modified to meet the needs of the rider thanks to engineering solutions used in its construction. As a result, it gains a specially designed storage area for large cargo as well as increased strength and load-bearing capabilities, giving it a safe stance.
The M7 electric scooter comes with twin, easily transportable, detachable batteries that weigh roughly 10 kg each. For a seamless and connected riding experience, the e-scooter will be linked to the Motovolt app.
The electric scooter’s ownership costs are cheaper than those of competing products on the market since customers can choose to buy it upfront or through a subscription plan. The business is also thinking of providing users with an unprecedented, limitless battery life option.
The battery in the Motovolt M7 electric scooter reportedly complies with AIS 156 phase 2 and is completely fireproof. Given the recent safety concerns over EV batteries, it multiplies the EV’s safety quotient. In addition, the scooter’s interchangeable batteries enable it to be used in a variety of situations.
To develop mobility solutions for Indian commuters, the electric company Motovolt recently secured 16 crores in a pre-Series A round from Dubai-based family office Wami Capital, Vikrampati Singhania of JK Family, and a few other investors. As a result, the company intends to extend its distribution presence from the present 100+ physical touchpoints to more than 250 by the end of financial year 22–23.
The launch of the M7 electric scooter, according to the business, is a step in that direction. “With this e-scooter, we wanted to introduce a safe, affordable, and multi-utility commute solution for the riders. Its modularity enhances the ride experience since the features can be repurposed to adopt to varied use cases in a focused manner,” said Tushar Choudhary, Founder and CEO of Motovolt.
