Liger Mobility, a Mumbai-based tech and engineering company, on Day 1 of Auto Expo unveiled Liger X and Liger X+. Both scooters boast being the world’s first electric self-balancing scooters. The exclusive technology promotes the scooters to remain upright without needing any additional support. The new technology helps enhance rider safety, convenience and comfort like no other scooter available worldwide.
Talking about this unique AutoBalancing scooter price range, the Liger x Price range starts at Rs 90,000 in India. As for the Liger X plus price, we might need to wait for a bit longer, but it is anticipated to be around Rs 1.23 Lakh in India.
What caught people’s eye the most was the fact that Liger Mobility’s AutoBalancing Tech in either of the scooters not only works at low speeds but also when the scooter is driven reversed. However, if the user wants, they can choose to turn off the AutoBalancing tech in the scooter.
This technology already seems to have a lot of potential since learners will find it to be a truly helpful feature. In addition, the Liger X and Liger X+ electric scooters have a “Learner Mode” that enables the user to use the AutoBalancing feature while lowering the electric scooter’s peak speed.
The lithium-ion battery pack on the Liger X is detachable and can be fully charged in 3 hours. It is claimed that the electric scooter has a range of 60 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack. The highest speed of the Liger X electric scooter is 65 km/h.
The Liger X+, on the other hand, has a bigger non-removable battery pack with a stated range of 100 kilometres and a charging time of 4.5 hours. The Liger X+ also features a TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation, notification alerts, and smartphone connectivity.
Both electric scooters share features, including live position tracking, tow warning, accident alert, battery temperature metre, and a few more. Aside from that, each of these electric scooters comes in a choice of grey, titanium, arctic white, red, or blue, among other colours. By the end of this year, both of these electric scooters should have been ordered by then. Bookings are anticipated to start in mid-2023.
