Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler producer in India, was able to attract some interest at the Auto Expo 2023 with its display of the Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle.
In more detail, the producer of the Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle claims that it was built to run on flex fuel in the range of E20 to E85, where the number represents the amount of ethanol in the fuel.
Despite this, the Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorbike has the same mechanical components as the Hero Glamour Xtec standard model. This means that the 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle is still present.
Additionally, this updated engine produces 10.7bhp of peak power at 7.5000 rpm and 10.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm, according to Hero Motocorp. The Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle uses the same 5-speed gearbox as the normal motorcycle aside from that.
The Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle is 2,051mm in length, 743mm in width, 1,074mm in height, and has a 1,273mm wheelbase. It's also important to note that the Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle has a kerb weight of 123 kilos and a ground clearance of 180mm.
Mechanically speaking, the recently unveiled Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle is the same as the ordinary motorcycle. The Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, however, has yet to have its performance and fuel economy numbers disclosed by Hero Motocorp.
The Hero Glamour XTec Flex Fuel motorcycle will have much lower emission levels than a regular motorcycle thanks to Flex Fuel technology. As a result, the mass manufacture of such motorcycles will reduce both the dependence on fossil fuels and the amount of air pollution.
