Ather is ready to launch the Ather Rizta family electric scooter on April 6, 2024. It's designed for family comfort and has a spacious underseat storage area, visible in recent Instagram posts. Moreover, the Ather Rizta boot space is the largest among scooters, both traditional and electric, and surpasses the 43-litre storage of the River Indie. The storage area can hold a half-face helmet, bag, lunchbox, and more.
There's also a smaller storage bin for essentials like a first aid kit or wallet. CEO Tarun Mehta promises that Ather Rizta will prioritise comfort and safety, building on Ather's reputation for quality and reliability. Moreover, the Ather Rizta pre-bookings are open at 999, marking Ather's expansion into family-friendly electric vehicles.
The upcoming Ather Rizta has some noticeable differences compared to the Ather 450X model. It features front disc and rear drum brakes to balance cost and performance needs. This electric scooter has a hub-mounted motor for cost-effectiveness. Moreover, the Ather Rizta Specifications about the motor and performance will be revealed on April 6th.
This electric scooter also comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with MRF Zapper tyres, similar to the 450 series. Moreover, the Ather Rizta Features might be the same as Ather 450X, such as a colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Ather Rizta details are expected to have a concealed belt final drive, like the 450 Apex. It's questionable if the 'Magic Twist' feature for regenerative braking will be incorporated, yet given Ather's set of experiences of feature-rich products, having a few high-level features is possible.
This scooter is designed to offer plenty of room for both the rider and the passenger. This scooter gives tough competition to the TVS iQube and Ola S1 X+ electric scooters.
Ather Rizta is stirring up excitement before its official launch on April 6 at the Ather Community Day 2024 event in Bangalore. Co-founder Mr Swapnil Jain showcased its remarkable water-wading capability, riding easily through 400mm of water.
