Aprilia just launched its new Tuareg 660 adventure bike in India. It's Aprilia's first mid-size adventure bike, stepping into a crowded two-wheeler market. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 price in India starts from Rs. 18.85 Lakhs. It is available in 3 colour options, including Atreides Black, Canyon Sand and Evocative Dakar Podium.
This Tuareg 660 competes with bikes like the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, BMW F 850 GS, and the new 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 range. The Aprilia 660 range in India also includes the Tuono 660, RS 660, and RSV4 Factory. However, this bike is more expensive than its rivals.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 adventure bike brings a unique flavour to India's adventure motorcycle segment. It has a purposeful Dakar rally bike design with an LED headlight and a tall windscreen. Aprilia's focus on minimal bodywork is apparent in the tank size and radiator shrouds.
The Tuareg 660 features four ride modes, including customizable options, riders can tailor their experience to suit different terrains. Multi-level traction control, switchable ABS, cruise control, and engine brake control add to the bike's versatility. These settings are easily accessible through the five-inch TFT display.
Aprilia's function-over-form approach is evident in the exposed sub-frame and minimal tail section, emphasizing practicality. While some may find the design stripped down, it aligns with the bike's adventure-focused ethos.
The recently launched Aprilia adventure bike packs some serious power and performance features. It has a 660cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 80 bhp @ 9250 rpm and 79 Nm @ 6,500 rpm of torque. Its engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox. This Aprilia bike also gets an 18-litre fuel tank, which makes it ideal for long journeys.
The bike's construction is impressive, with a tubular steel frame coupled with aluminium brackets and carefully distributed weight for agility and stability. It has a dry weight of just 187 kg, which makes it lightweight and easy to handle on rough terrains.
Off-road performance is enhanced with a 43 mm telescopic fork and progressive linkage monoshock. Both suspensions offer a generous 240 mm of travel for traction and control in challenging terrain.
Moreover, it is fitted with twin discs at the front and a single-disc brake at the rear end. The Aprilia Tuareg 600 features a ground clearance of 240 mm and a seat height of less than 860 mm.
