Aprilia has recently launched two mid-weight motorcycles in the Indian market. The Aprilia RS 660 costs Rs. 13.39 Lakh, and the Tuono 660 costs Rs. 13.09 Lakh. Both Aprilia bikes offer unique features and performance. The RS 660 is available in 3 colours, while Tuono 660 has 2 colour options. While they may look similar at first, differences in performance and electronics make them stand out.
Let’s know about what are the similarities and differences between these Aprilia bikes:
They have digital instrument consoles with various indicators like odometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, hazard warning, and more. Both models offer two trip meters, LED lights, mobile app connectivity, and multiple riding modes.
Other shared features include hazard warning switches, electric start, kill switches, stepped seats, and preload adjusters for front and rear suspension. Additionally, they boast advanced features like wheelie control, engine brake, and engine mapping.
However, the RS 660 offers cruise control as standard, while it's optional for the Tuono 660. The RS 660 also comes with a USB charging port as standard, whereas it's optional for the Tuono 660.
The Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 share a 659cc twin-cylinder engine. The RS 660 delivers 100bhp and 67Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Tuono 660 generates 95bhp and 67 Nm torque. Both two-wheelers have a 15-litre fuel tank capacity and a 4-litre reserve fuel capacity.
Both bikes feature a six-speed gearbox. The RS 660 is equipped with a standard quick shifter, whereas the Tuono 660 offers it as an option. The top speed of the Aprilia RS 660 is 230 kmph. On the other hand, its rivals’ top speed is 230 kmph.
Aprilia Tuono 660 and RS 660 bikes feature a perimeter frame. They have 41mm KYB upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock suspension on the rear end.
Both variants also feature one 220mm disc in the back and two 320mm discs up front. This provides precise handling, braking, operation, and stability for an enjoyable riding experience.
