Just a few months back, there were rumours about a heritage-inspired Yamaha XSR900. It was rumoured to launch at the upcoming EICMA event. Well, the XSR900 GP was just unveiled by the Japanese company, Yamaha, in international markets.
The upcoming 2024 Yamaha XSR900 GP will be powered by the 889 cc engine. The engine is borrowed from the 2023 XSR900 that replaced the 846 cc unit. Additionally, the engine will be producing 117.3 bhp. The bike will have the KYB suspension & Brembo brakes at both ends similar to XSR900.
You'll be fascinated by the motorcycle's bold design as will it remind you of ‘80s GP racing. The 2024 Yamaha XSR900 will have a rear cowl on its seat, but its front end will truly stand out with its radical design. The bike will have an old-school appearance, coming with a bikini fairing.
The bike will feature a petite LED headlamp flanked by conventionally-mounted LED turn indicators. Speaking of colour options, the GP will be available in a red & white colour combo. The bike will have a yellow number sticker on the rear seat cowl. There will also be a stealthier black & grey colour scheme. The bike will also come with red wheels as standard.
The XSR900 GP is all set to hit international markets soon. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has no plans to launch the bike in India anytime soon. However, the Japanese manufacturer is expected to launch the MT-09 in India by the end of 2023. Let’s see what the future holds for the upcoming bike!
