Suzuki has introduced the 2024 version of its V-Strom SX motorcycle in Malaysia. The new model is priced at RM 17,800, which is around Rs. 3.46 lakh in Indian currency. The V-Strom SX is a quarter-litre adventure tourer. In Malaysia, it will compete with other bikes like the Kawasaki Versys-X 250 and Honda CRF250 Rally. Both these models are more focused on adventure riding than Suzuki’s new release.
Suzuki sells the V-Strom SX for Rs. 2.12 lakh in India. Its main competitor is the Yezdi Adventure, priced between Rs. 2.10 to 2.20 lakh.
The V-Strom SX launched in Malaysia is the same model as the one available in India. It is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 26.1 bhp and 22.2 Nm of torque. Moreover, the bike has a six-speed gearbox but does not include a slipper clutch. The bike has a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination. Apart from this, it also has a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the back for suspension. This Suzuki bike features a disc brake on both wheels and comes with dual-channel ABS, which is standard.
The design of the V-Strom SX is inspired by Suzuki’s larger motorcycles. It has a round headlamp, tall windscreen, and sharp fairing. The rear of the bike has a long and stubby tail. The bike also comes with LED lights, a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, and features like turn-by-turn navigation and notifications for calls and messages. Moreover, there is also a rear luggage rack and USB charging port.
