5 Motorcycles with The Best Safety Features
CalendarPublished on October 26, 2024 by BikeJunction
Motorcycles are popular for many riders, but safety is always important. Choosing a bike with advanced safety features can greatly enhance a rider's experience. Here, we highlight five motorcycles known for their excellent safety systems. Each bike offers unique features to help keep riders safe on the road. Why are Safety Features Required in Bikes?Safety has been one of the leading elements in motorbikes. First and foremost, safety features help to prevent accidents and limit injuries that may result from the accidents. Advanced safety systems give more control over difficult riding conditions. Moreover, stability can be achieved through several features, such as traction control and ABS, during sudden stops or on slippery roads. Basically, they make it enjoyable to ride because one has high confidence. Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special | Rs. 24.64 Lakh Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special has an extremely good reputation for safety-conscious riders. It reflects Harley's commitment to advanced technology. For instance, this bike features five switchable ride modes that can be adjusted according to the road. Its cornering ABS helps maintain braking stability when leaning into turns. The bike also features traction control, which prevents wheel spin on slippery surfaces. Another innovative feature is electronically linked braking (ELB), which applies brakes to both wheels for smoother stopping. Additionally, the Pan America includes drag torque slip control to manage engine braking. Riders can also benefit from vehicle hold control for hill starts, preventing the bike from rolling back. The semi-active electronic suspension adjusts to changing conditions, enhancing comfort and control. Suzuki V-Strom 1050 | Rs. 14.40 - 15 LakhThen there's the Suzuki V-Strom 1050, another excellent bike with remarkable safety standards. This bike is indeed affordable and has other safety features that don't compromise. The 2024 model uses Safety and Integrated Ride System technology, which boasts upgraded traction control and ABS. The Motion Track Brake System (MTBS) provides cornering ABS to maintain stability when leaning into turns. Additionally, the Slope Dependent Control System (SDCS) aids in downhill braking. This feature ensures that riders can stop safely on steep descents. Yamaha YZF-R1M | Rs. 28 LakhYamaha YZF-R1M brings MotoGP-level safety features to the road. This high-performance motorcycle comes with advanced technology safety to protect the rider from potential dangers while riding a bike. Brake force, when applied during aggressive braking, is regulated by the system using information from the IMU to reduce wheel slip and danger. Its lean-sensitive traction control system also calculates lean angles, providing precise intervention. The slide control system regulates power delivery during cornering to prevent lateral slides. This feature helps maintain stability and confidence when riding at high speeds. BMW K 1600 GTL | Rs. 33 Lakh BMW K 1600 GTL is a touring bike equipped with many modern safety features. Its partial integral ABS is very useful for braking. When the foot of the hand lever is pressed, it applies brakes to both wheels simultaneously and makes the motorcycle stop effectively. The bike also features different ride modes, such as rain, road, and dynamic. These modes adjust throttle response and traction control based on weather conditions. Additionally, the K 1600 GTL includes dynamic traction control and hill start control, ensuring stability on inclines. Honda Goldwing Tour DCT + Airbag | Rs. 39.20 LakhHonda Goldwing Tour sets new standards with innovative safety features. The top-spec model comes with a unique airbag system designed for rider protection. This airbag is deployed in case of a forward collision, reducing the risk of injury. Crash sensors detect the impact force and trigger the airbag's deployment.
