FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has announced its September 2024 sales report that registered a YoY decline of 8.51% and a MoM decline of 10.01%.  CategorySeptember 2024September 2023YoY %August 2024MoM %2-Wheeler1,204,2591,316,300 -8.51%1,338,237-10.01% In September 2024, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 1,204,259 units, whereas in September 2023, the industry saw sales of 1,316,300 units. This resulted in an 8.51% decline in YoY growth. This is a 4.53% decline from the 349,784 units they sold in September 2023. However, their market share increased by 4.35%. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India came in second, selling 271,390 units in September 2024. This is a 22.96% decline from the 352,254 units they sold in September 2023. Their market share also declined by 15.79%. TVS Motor Company Ltd was third, selling 221,257 units in September 2024 compared to 229,381 units sold in September 2023. Their sales declined by 3.54%, and the market share increased by 5.43%. Bajaj Auto Ltd showed a 5.32% decline in sales, selling 141,668 units in September 2024 compared to 149,633 last year. Its market share increased slightly to 3.49%. Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed a decent growth of 0.61% YoY, with 74,287 units sold in September 2024, compared to 73,837 in September 2023. Suzuki’s market share also rose to 9.97%. Royal Enfield motorcycles experienced a 10.37% decline in sales, with 57,504 units sold in September 2024, down from 64,159 last year. Its market share decreased to 2.03%. Yamaha India sold 50,065 units in September 2024, which is a 0.86% increase from 49,639 units in September 2023. Moreover, their market share increased to 10.24%.  In September 2024, Ola Electric reported total sales of 24,679, a whopping 31.90% increase compared to September 2023 sales of 18,711 units. Moreover, the company also gained a 44.17% market share rise.  Ather Energy Pvt Ltd sold 12,718 units in September 2024. For comparison, the company registered sales of 7,195 units in September 2023, reporting an increase of 76.76%. Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced an increase of 93.21% this month. Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd clocked in a total sales unit of 2,777 in September 2024, as compared to 3,613 units sold in September 2023. Due to this, the company saw a decline of 23.14% this month. Apart from this, the company also experienced a decline in its market share by 15.99% for September 2024.  Piaggio sold 2,562 units in September 2024, a 13.27% decrease from the 2,954 units sold in September 2023. The company’s market share also dropped slightly to 5.20%. Classic Legends, which offers retro-style motorcycles, sold 2,125 units in September 2024. This represents a 14.42% decline from the 2,483 units sold in September 2023. Their market share also fell to 6.46%. Bgauss Auto Private Limited Sold 1,237 Units in September 2024 compared to 935 Units last year in the same month. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s top motorcycle and scooter maker, saw a slight increase in September 2024. Hero MotoCorp recently introduced the Destini 125 in India. While the price hasn't been announced yet, we do know its colour choices. You can pick from five colours for the Hero Destini 125. It includes Eternal White, Regal Black, Mystique Magenta, Cosmic Blue, and Groovy Red. However, some colors are available only with certain variants.    Hero Destini 125 Colour Availablity    Hero Destini 125 base model, VX, comes in Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red. The Destini ZX is available in Mystique Magenta and Cosmic Blue. Meanwhile, the ZX Plus comes in Eternal White and Regal Black.    The variants differ in a few ways. The VX has drum brakes and cast alloy wheels, while the ZX and ZX Plus have disc brakes with diamond-cut alloy wheels. Furthermore, the VX has an analogue display, but the ZX and ZX Plus have a fully digital screen with Bluetooth.    About Hero Destini 125 The new Destini 125 has a new LED headlight with a projector lamp and a metal front fender. Hero Xoom 125R has been spotted undergoing testing, generating excitement among scooter enthusiasts. It has a strong and sleek design that is consistent with the Xoom series. It has a distinctive rear look with split LED lights and handrails. Moreover, there are separate types and footrests for large pillions. The 124.6 cc engine is expected to provide performance and efficiency coupled with a CVT transmission. Since then, we have been eagerly awaiting the official announcement, although it may still be a while. But now we have found spy images of the Hero Xoom 125R.  Latest Testing Reveals Exciting Features and Specs The test scooter was spotted near Hero's factory in Rajasthan. The upcoming Hero Xoom 125R looks impressively spacious and robust. In line with the current Xoom design style, a rear view of the Xoom 125R shows a striking rear profile with split LED lighting. There are also split grab rails and a large pillion footrest, too.  According to current information, the Hero Xoom 125R will have a 124.6cc air-cooled engine that produces 9.4bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.16Nm at 6,000rpm. This engine will be mated to a CVT transmission gearbox. Hero notes that these specs are close to the produced specs and may vary slightly in the final version.  Hero Xoom 125R has LED lights and a digital strut panel with Bluetooth connectivity for modes and bar navigation, notifications for calls and SMS notifications. Its engine is housed in a steel frame supported by telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension system. The braking system consists of disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.  When launched, the Hero Xoom 125R will compete with the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125 and Suzuki Avenis.
