Hero XPulse 200T 4V’s 5000 Km Long Term Review: Features, Specs & More
CalendarPublished on March 4, 2024 by BikeJunction
The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V is one of Hero MotoCorp's latest bikes, which was launched in October 2022. It is inspired by the Xpulse 200 and is good for roads and light off-road adventures.  Hero designed it as a great choice for a smaller adventure touring bike. The Xpulse 200T 4V has become quite popular due to its versatile performance and cool features. It has a stylish neo-retro design with capable performance at an accessible price point of Rs. 1,37,751 in India.Hero XPulse 200T 4V: Design & Aesthetics The Xpulse 200T bike has a cool "neo-retro" design that combines old-school with modern styles. It has a round LED headlight with DRLs for a modern look. The curvy fuel tank and raised back end give it a classic adventure bike vibe. The bike looks strong and tough with its bold graphics. However, it doesn't really catch people's eyes or look special on the road. It kind of just looks like other regular commuter bikes. But its small size makes it ideal to move around and handle city traffic. Moreover, this bike weighs 153 kg, making it ideal for accelerating, climbing hills, and having an easy handle.Hero XPulse 200T 4V: Engine PerformanceThis bike is equipped with a 199.6 cc oil-cooled 4-valve engine that delivers 18.9 bhp @ 8,500 rpm and 17.3 Nm @ 6,500 rpm of torque. Moreover, its engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox that ensures smoother acceleration. This Hero bike has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres and offers a mileage of 43 kmpl. Hero aimed for instant acceleration in this bike, but it resulted in abrupt power delivery and uneven shifts when throttling on and off. Moreover, this bike gives an uncomfortable experience due to the constant lurching at slow speeds in traffic. The power band between 3000 and 6000 rpm feels too narrow. Below or above this range, the bike feels sluggish and lacks enthusiasm. Such a limited power band is not ideal for a bike positioned as a commuter, where versatility and ease of use are paramount. The XPulse 200T 4V didn't do well in terms of fuel efficiency, only managing to average about 30.5 kmpl in real-world conditions. This is not great when compared to bikes like the KTM 390 Duke, which can do over 25 kmpl in city conditions. Hero XPulse 200T 4V: HardwareHero Xpulse 200T bike comes with telescopic forks at the front and a seven-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear end. It also has disc brakes on both wheels, with a design that looks like a flower petal. For safety, it has single-channel ABS. The bike has 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, which are good for riding on regular roads.Hero XPulse 200T 4V: Features & Rivals This bike features a digital meter console with Bluetooth connectivity for call alerts and a turn-by-turn navigation function. Also, it gets a USB charging port and a side stand sensor. This feature enhances riders' convenience. It comes in three different colour schemes, including Black Sports Red, Funk Lime Yellow, and Matt Shield Gold. Hero XPulse 200T bike gives direct competition to bikes such as Bajaj Pulsar NS200 (Rs. 1,49,363) and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (Rs. 1,46,820). Therefore, for riders considering an upgrade to a sporty 200cc bike, there may be better choices than the Hero Xpulse 200T 4V, given the competition's superior offerings. Before you go, don’t forget to check out the upcoming 650 cc bikes of Royal Enfield in India. Follow us for the Latest Bike Industry UpdatesFacebook - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_offl_fb                 Instagram -  https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_insta                 Twitter - https://bit.ly/BikeJunction_ofl_twitter
