This resulted in a 17.64% decrease in YoY growth. Moreover, a 54.21% degrowth in MoM sales is seen, as in November 2024, sales figures were 2,615,953 units.OEM-wise Market Share Data for December 2024 with YoY %2-Wheeler OEMs Sales Figures & Market Share in December 2024Hero MotoCorp LTD sold the most two-wheelers in December 2024, with 328,634 units. This is a 29.22% decrease from the 464,308 units they sold in December 2023. Moreover, their market share declined by 14.06%. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India came in second, selling 316,356 units in December 2024. This is an 8.34% decline from the 345,128 units they sold in December 2023. However, their market share increased by 11.30%. TVS Motor Company Ltd. was third, selling 212,899 units in December 2024 compared to 233,398 units sold in December 2023. Their sales declined by 8.78%, but their market share increased by 10.76%. Bajaj Auto Ltd.'s sales declined by 23.74% to 139,125 units in December 2024, compared to 182,443 two-wheelers last year. Moreover, its market share dropped slightly to 7.41%. Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed a 5.62% YoY degrowth, with 62,788 units sold in December 2024, compared to 66,530 in December 2023. Suzuki’s market share increased to 14.60%. Royal Enfield motorcycles experienced a 3.64% degrowth in sales, with 54,024 units sold in December 2024, down from 56,063 last year. Its market share increased to 17.01%. Yamaha India sold 41,651 units in December 2024, which is a 13.84% decline from 48,344 units in December 2023. However, their market share increased to 4.61%.  In December 2024, Ola Electric reported total sales of 13,771, a decline of 54.80% compared to December 2023 sales of 30,470 units. Moreover, the company also experienced a degrowth of 45.12% in the market share.  Ather Energy Pvt Ltd sold 10,431 units in December 2024. For comparison, the company registered sales of 6,553 units in December 2023, reporting a whopping increase of 59.18%.Moreover, on the market share front, the company also experienced a rise of 93.28% this month. Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd clocked in a total sales unit of 2,794 in December 2024, as compared to 2,977 units sold in December 2023. Due to this, the company saw a degrowth of 6.15% this month. Apart from this, the company experienced an increase in its market share by 10.54% for December 2024.  Classic Legends, which offers retro-style motorcycles, sold 2,341 units in December 2024. This represents a 7.25% drop from the 2,524 units sold in December 2023. Their market share increased to 12.62%. Piaggio sold 2,228 units in December 2024, a 26.03% decrease from the 3,012 units sold in December 2023. The company’s market share also dropped slightly to 10.18%.The "Others Including EV" category showed a decline of 15.10% YoY, with sales of 10,700 units, compared to 12,603 in December 2023. 2-Wheeler Sales Figures in CY 24The two-wheeler industry in India witnessed strong growth in CY'24, with a total sales of 18,912,959 units, marking a 10.78% year-on-year increase from CY'23. Hero MotoCorp retained its market leadership with 5,487,778 units sold, capturing a 29.02% market share. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India followed with 4,797,974 units and a 25.37% share. TVS Motor Company ranked third with 3,238,852 units sold, holding a 17.13% market share.  Notable players in the electric two-wheeler segment, such as Ola Electric and Ather Energy, showed promising performance, contributing to the overall growth. Suzuki, Royal Enfield, and Yamaha also maintained steady growth.
