Ampere EV has started delivering its new Nexus electric scooter in India. The deliveries have began in Bengaluru in the first week of June 2024 and will continue across the country in stages throughout the month. This EV scooter was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).  Ampere Nexus bookings began in May 2024 with a token amount of Rs 9,999. It is designed as a high-performance family scooter. It comes in two variants: Nexus EX and Nexus ST. Moreover, this scooter is available in four colour options, including Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey.   Ampere Nexus Specifications  Ampere Nexus electric scooter has a 3kWh LFP battery. It offers a certified range of 136 km. Moreover, it is powered by a mid-mounted motor with a peak output of 4kWh. This Ampere electric scooter has a top speed of 93 kmph. Furthermore, the battery takes 3.3 hours to charge, and a fast-charging option is available to reduce this time.  The Nexus has a steel frame with a hybrid cast and tubular swingarm. It features a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear for a comfortable ride. Moreover, it has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. This electric scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. These specifications make the Nexus a strong contender in the family electric scooter market.  Ampere Neuxus Features Ampere Nexus electric scooter comes with all LED lights. The EX variant has a 6.2-inch LCD display with basic smartphone connectivity. The ST variant features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, and Call/SMS alerts. Both variants have auto day/night display modes.  Moreover, this electric scooter offers 5 ride modes, including Eco, City, Power, Limp Home, and Reverse. Greaves Electric Mobility's Ampere brand has launched its first premium electric scooter, the Ampere Nexus. Ampere Nexus Price starts at Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in two variants: EX and ST. The higher-spec ST variant is priced at Rs 1.20 Lakh in India. Moreover, this electric scooter is now available in four different colour schemes, including Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey. The Ampere electric scooter is not eligible for central subsidies under the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS). It will initially be sold at the introductory prices mentioned above, but these prices will go up by Rs 10,000 once the introductory period ends. The Nexus is more feature-rich compared to the Primus model, which it replaces in the Ampere lineup. It gives tough competition to the Ather Rizta, Hero Vida V1 Pro and Bajaj Chetak. Ampere Nexus bookings are now open, and deliveries are expected to start in the second half of May.Ampere Nexus Feature: What’s New?  Ampere Nexus electric scooter has some cool features. It has a special LED headlight with DRLs, turn indicators on the front, and an LED rear light. Moreover, the EX variant has a 6.2-inch LCD display that can connect to your smartphone for basic functions. The ST variant steps it up with a 7-inch touchscreen that connects via Bluetooth and WiFi.Greaves Ampere Nexus features different ride modes and can automatically switch between day and night displays. This electric scooter can even update itself over the air (OTA). It has a spacious footboard and a comfortable seat with a stylish grab rail. There's a handy feature called "Limp home" that activates when the battery is low (below 20%).Ampere Nexus Specifications: How Does It Perform? Ampere Nexus has a motor placed in the middle, inside the swingarm. This motor is rated IP67, meaning it's protected against dust and water. It can produce a peak power of 4kW, allowing the scooter to reach a top speed of 93 kmph. Regarding Ampere Nexus Battery & Charging, it runs on a 3kWh battery and takes about 3.3 hours to charge fully.
