But now, the company plans to introduce six new models comprised of entry-level scooters, off-road motorcycles, and high-performance electric motorbikes. Moreover, the electric Hero Splendor will be the first mass-market e-bike. Here’s everything you need to know. Upcoming Hero Splendor Electric and other Two-Wheelers in IndiaIndia's largest two-wheeler maker now intends to make its mainstream zero-emissions market approach even more aggressive. In the next two to three years, the company plans to introduce six new models. Furthermore, their prices will vary throughout these categories to accommodate a wide variety of clients.  Electric Hero SplendorAccording to sources, one of the company's most important projects is an electric version of the well-liked Hero Splendor. The product, which is expected to launch in 2027, has been developed for over two years at its technological centre, CIT, in Jaipur. According to those in the know, the Splendor project is called AEDA. The Vida Lynx is an electric dirt bike that the brand plans to launch in 2026.  Moreover, they will manufacture a small yearly volume of 10,000 units. Overall, the internationally developed markets will be the main target of this concept. But in 2027, the business will also consider introducing standard electric bikes to cater to broader consumers and price ranges. The commuter or everyday business user category is the target of the AEDA initiative. Under the ADZA project, two more bikes that are comparable to 150cc and 250cc ICE versions are also planned. Moreover, it is targeted at youthful riders who are looking for performance and style.  Targets to Sell 5 Lakh Units AnnuallyThe company's goal is to have more than half a million electric vehicles sold yearly by 2027–2028. Explore some of the most anticipated bikes and scooters in detail that will be introduced this year. Gogoro 2 SeriesThe Gogoro 2 Series electric scooter, a global brand, is expected to launch in India in July 2025. It will be powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor. As a result, it will receive a maximum torque of 196Nm and a peak power of 7kW. Additionally, the scooter has a 170 km range at a cruising speed of 30 km/h. This scooter is on par with other high-end e-scooters on the market, such as the Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro.  According to Gogoro, the newest third-generation swappable battery pack for the 2 Series can be changed in six seconds. It's quicker than filling up with petrol if that's accurate!  Ola AdventureThe Ola Adventure is likely to launch between April and September 2025. We expect it to be priced at around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). The Indian market still hasn't really seen electric adventure bikes, so even when it's here, it might not have any rivals. The Adventure electric bike has a futuristic design, and exact details are not yet revealed. It features a tall seat and dual-purpose tyres. Additionally, it comes with spoke wheels and hand guards for added protection. There is plenty of ground clearance for off-road riding. Overall, the bike looks rugged and tough.  Hero Electric AE8The brand-new AE-8 neo-retro electric scooter from Hero Electric was unveiled at the expo. It will likely arrive this year and is a part of Hero's Trend Series. With a single charge, the AE-8 can go 80 km and reach a maximum speed of 25 kmph. A fully digital instrument console and a full-LED headlamp with a halo LED DRL are also included. At the same time, Suzuki expected to roll out its first Indian electric scooter, sometime around September 2025. Expect about 4kW power as the motor in this electric scooter. It may perform similarly to a 110cc petrol-powered scooter. That makes it adequate enough for most regular commutes up to around 90km on a full charge. Design-wise, Suzuki Burgman Electric resembles the Suzuki Burgman Street. It gets a telescopic fork, a disc brake, and a 12-inch alloy wheel at the front but has a twin shock absorber setup at the rear. The rear wheel is smaller and seems to be in the form of a 10-inch unit with a drum brake and CBS as well. Gogoro CrossoverThe Gogoro CrossOver GX250 has a very rugged and utilitarian electric scooter design. It consists of large body panels, a spacious floorboard and even a split-type seat that can be folded when not in use. Other than that, there is ample space for storage aboard the scooter.
